So, now that I have my new purchase, I am looking to rework my T3 for drive hunts (the original purchase reason for buying a Battue). But, I am having a devil of a time finding QR mounts for it that aren't like 375$.
I have looked at Warne and got confused as they don't seem to come with a base system and have a steel recoil piece that has NO points of contact to absorb said recoil. Maybe I am being a tard but it seems a base is needed with them? Any other suggestions for mounts? Or can someone shed some light into my head to clarify how stupid I am being? |

Hours of research later, I still can't find a listing for the correct Warne bases. Unless, for SAKO, one base fits all which would seem logical yet highly improbable...

I used a picatinny rail from a T3 Tactical and some 9.5mm high Recknagle QD rings.
It all works well with the 1.5-6x42 Zenith.

Good morning, Kokako
Did the T3 Tactical rail fit without modification?

Yep, it fitted straight on without any problems. Don't try to unscrew the plastic blanking caps in the receiver, just push them through into the receiver with a small pin punch - taking care not to damage the threads. |

Many thanks. I get the two (9.3x62; 30.06) next week and I'll follow your advice.
Cheers,

They still make the Tikka Buatte lite. When I got my T3 Lite Stainless the gun shop ordered it and I had it in 1 week.

Did they stop importing the Tikka Buatte lite to the USA?
