Last week i heard that Capt. Phil Harris of  F/V Cornelia Marie had a stroke and was medivact  to anchorage, 12 hr of surgery and he was still alive. a couple of days later he was talking etc. today i learned he passed away. Phil will be missed by all of the fans of deadliest catch as well as the countless fisherman in the bearing sea. Sad to hear that, prayers go out to the Harris family especially Jake and Josh.

Just heard about it. Very sad news. He was a tough old bird. But to his legacy he beat the sea. He took what she gave em and road her till he finished. What more could any of us ask for. Doing what we do best right up till the bell tolls. I hope the TV show leaves the boys alone while they get settled. Wishful thinkin I know. May God embrace his imortal soul.
Take care of Soldiers, Show em how its done and do it with em, Run to the Fight & and hold your ground! I die my men go home! If you're a NCO and this ain't you. GET OUT! GOD BLESS AMERICA!

He wasn't my favorite, but I wouldn't wish that on anyone.  My heart goes out to the family.
