Hello and nice to be here and take part in this fine forum. This is my first posting. The main question is, which to purchase. The Sightron S111 8-32x56 fine cross hair. OR The Bushnell 4.5-30x50 fine multi-x cross hair. Both are 30 mm tubes. I own a Bushnell 4200 variable power to 24. It works well and seems well made. I have never owned a Sightron nor do I no any that does but, from what I read It may be the way to go. Any advise, comments or questions. I have been to both of their web sites and down loaded all of the info to compare. I have prices on both. And the Bushnell is less expensive. Any insite or help would be welcome. Thank you john |

Either the Bushnell or the Sightron will be getting mounted on my brand new Anschutz 1907 BR that has yet to arrive.

At higher magnifications (above 16x or so), Sightron S3 will offer better image than the Bushnell. At lower magnifications, these are fairly comparable scopes.

Well to answer my own question, I purchased the Sightron, and its in the mail as I'am typing this response. The reason I went with the Sightron, upon further investigation, review and much prognostication of comparative facts figures gleaned from various resourses and many websites and experts from near and far. And the fact that this will be mounted on an Anshutz 1907BR benchrest rifle, it had to be the Sighton.

John, please read the forum rules that you had to agree to when you registered your account, specifically Rule # 3, which means you can't advertise, post links or talk of purchasing optics from one of SWFA's competitors. This site is owned by SWFA, an optics retailer, and it is impolite to use their site they provide for our use to direct readers to their competition.
