Needed a turret cap for a Redfield 4x12 and found a source. Apparently they have parts for other brands, too.
Had to buy a pair of caps for $20.00 but, when you need 'em, you need 'em.
So, before I reveal the address, I will offer my extra Redfield 4x12 turret cap for 1/2 of what the pair cost me. $10.73, delivered gets you recapped. The cap, as far as I know, fits only a 4x12 and will NOT fit a Redfield 4x.

I knew they had bought Frank Ruiz's steel Weaver parts inventory but didn't know they had other parts.  Took me YRS to find 1 turret cap for a 2 3/4X Denver Redfield that someone gave me in the late 70's.  Made a contact at Redfield when they were in Texas(?)or Alabama(?) and he'd send me any loose caps from old Redfields as he got them until one day, BINGO.

Yeah, a lot of these things we are missing we hunt for for years. Then, like learning the secret of a magic trick, we find the answer to be absurdly simple. That's why I enjoy sites like opticstalk.com, which help us all. I just found this great site and my thanks to SWFA for providing this forum.
That being said, I know in my heart this will cost me big $$$ as I feel obligated to upgrade my optics!!!

I tried a while back to get Mike to join OT. He didn't seem to have much interest at that time. I'm glad someone from Iron Sight Inc. finally came aboard.
 Welcome to the OT
