I finally wrote down my impressions of the Hawke Endurance 30 1.25-4.5x24.
It is an interesting scope that seems to have a price niche all its own. There is really nothing else out there that competes directly against it and in the same price range (that I am aware of and/or have seen). It is comfortably better than the less expensive scopes (DMS-1, for example) and not far off compared to the more expensive Elite 4200. Overall, there is nice price segmentation going on for this configuration: $325 Hawke Endurance 30 1.25-4.5x24 $500 Bushnell Elite 4200 1.25-4x24 $650 Burris Euro Diamond 1-4x24 (or $540 for non-illuminated version). Al three are good scopes for the money, but there is enough price gap between them to make it mostly a choice of how much you are willing to spend. Here is the write-up: ILya
