I seemed to have missed this thread while it was going on. Great review, gents!
Of the mounts mentioned, I have the GGG, and I've been really happy with it. I almost never remove the mount from my rail since I have no BUIS, don't remove the optic when casing the weapon, and always use the same scope on the rifle it's mounted on, so I'm not the best evaluator of long-term integrity & repeatability of the lever cam/clamp system. But, it's simple, light, clean-looking, intelligently designed, reasonably priced for what you get, and gets the job done for me. I don't make a habit of intentionally dropping my gear off rooftops or dragging it behind my ATV, but I see no reason to suspect the GGG wouldn't hold up to "normal" use and abuse. I like what I see of the Bobro (despite the weird fasteners) and Aadmount designs, and wouldn't hesitate to buy either. |
