Now, I haven't posted here in a while, mostly because of being too dang busy, but have been fooling around with Minox scopes.
On my night-chart the optics have tested 7+, which is better than any other scope costing less than $1000, and is basically the same as several scopes costing over $1000. As examples, a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x rated a 7, and even a 2-12x Swarovski Z6 rated 7+. The only scope I've tested that really beat the Minox was an S&B Summit at 8.
There have been some other issues, but I'm still testing and Minox is still tweaking a new product, so don't want to say anything more right now. I do have a 3-9x Minox mounted on my lightweight .338 and hope to see how the scope will hold up under substantial recoil sometime soon.

Good to see you back John, I really enjoyed your article in handloader about 33's & 35's "Dream Rifles". The Whelen is still one of my favorites.

Welcome home John!
I've been using a Minox ZA 5 4-20x50 with BDC on a 700 police in .223 for about 6 months now.I've compared it to my conquest & found them to be very close with the edge going to Minox, not so much with the glass but because of the optic magnification of 5x.
I did find a difference in certain colors,I think the conquest was a little more true in the purples & some hue tones but they are very close.
The one thing I found a little disturbing was the turrets were mushy.Over all it is a better bang for the buck than the conquest,of course this is just my non technical opion,I call 'em as I see 'em.
Looking forward to your & Ilya's through evaluation, you two are the voice of the best......Thanks
