Wow, look s great. Same length as the tactical scope, almost a pound lighter (those turrets are big and heavy and worth every ounce!), they went with MOA adjustments over mil, makes sense for most hunters.
Is there an anticipated price or availability?

Looks like you can get it either in 1/10th mil or 1/2 MOA clicks. I'm curious about the turrets, however. Are those just caps or do the turrets lack markings. I'd like to see the light tactical version. Not only would the lighter weight (compared the the current 3-15) be nice on a hunting rig, but it would be great to have one for $800-1000 less. I just really like having target turrets and zero-stop is a plus.

Well, or perhaps a Bradley. The current PH 3-15 is built like a tank - very sturdy but also heavy...tho' that does help tame the recoil! |

3-15, about the perfect mag range. Should be a winner.

Here's a little more info from a post on the Hide:
"There will be 2 models based upon this design offered, the first is the Hunter which will have hunting style turrets- that is they will have covers but still be able to be adjusted by a gloved hand once the covers are removed. The turrets are about and 1/2 inch tall and 1 inch wide. The second design will be the light tactical and this scope will feature an exposed elevation knob with tooless rezero that is about 3/4 inches high and 1 inch wide. We are still working on the final details of this scopes turrets." |

This one looks a little on the heavy side as well for hunting, 1.5 pounds. |

I like what I see.
Curious also about the turrets and also about whether they will be available in Mil adjust. I would assume as at least 2 of the reticles they list are mil based. The Gen 2 XR is the reticle I would buy out of the bunch shown. I sure am getting excited with the new changes I am finally seeing from scope manf's. They are finally starting to get thing right, or at least how I want them! And please tell me they left them FFP. Edited by Idaho Scot - January/15/2011 at 18:02 |

The turrets will match the reticles, so if they're mil reticles so will the turrets be. But I'm not sure with the custom BDCs...just never pay attention to that kind of thing since I'm only interested in reticles with uniform subtensions. They are definitely FFP. From what I understand, some details on the turrets are still being worked out.
