I have a Kahles Helia 4-12X52 scope with duplex cross hairs. I hunt with it. Shooting a 270 WSM with a 250 yd zero, I can shoot beyond 300 yds on big game without adjusting my point of aim, provided I'm shooting for the boiler room. Much beyond that however, one must either adjust point of aim, or compensate with scope inputs. That is pretty much out of the question with the existing scope adjustment system. It would require moving the caps.
Are there tactical type turrets that can be installed on that scope? Or might it be easier to replace the Kahles with a scope already equipped with them?

I have not heard of anyone installing tactical knobs on a Kahles that did not have them however you could contact the manufacturer and ask if that is an option. Zeiss does that all the time. With scopes that you dial in correction most are 30mm tubes so that they have more internal adjustment. If you use a balistic reticle or mil dot reticle you can use the marks for hold over at known distance. If you use a first focal plane scope the marks hold true at any magnification / power. With second focal plane scopes the hold over marks are only true at one power usually the highest power. Since you are used to a Kahles you are already spoiled by really good glass. I'll suggest a couple for you to consider.
