Baylor University's new Williams Stadium making progress right on the banks of the Brazos River and I-35.  I see this every day...making lots of progress fast now!

Hays on the Pedernales by Wilbarger

In 1841, Jack Hays, Captain of the Texas Rangers, got attacked by Comanches and took refuge on top of Enchanted Rock and held off the attackers for hours with his firearms while holed up in a crevice.  I understand he was in possession of some Colt Patersons.  I actually read about this episode when I was a kid in the 1950s.

Times have changed.  On the Internet, people discuss climbing Enchanted Rock like they are climbing Annapurna. Rest breaks halfway up, water breaks...etc.

My girlfriend and I climbed up there and looked all around back in 1970 and flew back down to the car and drove back home to San Antonio for supper and a movie later that night. I believe I was wearing penny loafers!!  Hahahahahaa....she was in shorts!

We got a drink when we got home!

I used to deer hunt on property bordering Enchanted Rock state park. It's a beautiful area of the state, with TONS of deer!

Texas looks like Southern Africa.  So do parts of New Mexico and Kansas. The Hill Country is amazing.
Now we've got exotic animals running loose.  We should bring in some elephants and lions and leopards and all other African antelopes into America before the Africans finish destroying Africa.

That's a healthy looking longhorn!
Man those horns really change things.  Hornless cows and steers are usually pretty docile.
How can anything with headgear like that not have a pride issue? Cool
