Anyone have any suggestions on holsters for my XDM9? I've done some looking around and found nothing really designed specifically for this pistol. I saw somewhere that a G17 holster should fit it but I don't want to find out the hard way that it doesn't. Also I really don't know much at all about holsters, so if there are different kinds maybe I could get suggestions on that as well. I'm looking for a holster to use at the range that won't put holster marks all over the slide. Thanks in advance |

I love Comp-Tacs, but it may mar up your gun a little, over time. I've used their paddle holster for CC for many years.

+1 on comp-tac. i think most form fitted holsters whether plastic or leather will eventually wear on firearm if used enough.

I would get a Blackhawk CQC or Serpa. I have tried quite a few and like them alot. I like them better than bladetech or comp tac. Just get the XD holster, the XDms work fine in XD holsters.

If you dont' want holster marks your gonna want something that will hold the gun snug and not be abrasive or allow the gun to "wiggle". polymor types will normally to this and show wear on steal guns moreso than leather on a steel gun. If I were you I'd take a look at a nice custom leather holster, or have one made for you. They are worth it in the end. KLnull Holsters makes some nice stuff. and it quick turn around last I talk to him, I'd see if he had a mold for your gun

Even leather holsters will wear off the finish after time. I used a leather holster for several years with my 1911. It eventually wore spots shinny smooth. With enough in and outs they will all do that.

Probably not. I guess point was if you use the gun a lot its inevitable. There is just no point in worrying to much about it IMO.
I paint mine with duracoat. Then when it wears down enough, I just spray it again. |

Try Krammer or Fist-inc. And yes I'm the resident holster snob.

I have several Alessi CQCS holsters. They are great for EDC.
