I'm looking for a tactical scope for my .223 that is around $350 or under.  I'm pretty open to anything in this price range right now, just want the most bang for my buck.

It will be used for hunting coyote's, as well as shooting paper targets from 100 to 300 yards.

I like the 2-7X32 Viper for that application.

The "tactical" part of your wants throws me a bit but I will try to address it the best I can.

The Viper 2-7 above is a great scope, more than capable of nailing a yote and paper at 300yds.  However it has covered turrets, you could leave them at home but its not as ideal as a non covered turret model with stiffer turrets.

The SWFA Super Sniper 6X would be a good options as well.  Its got the rugged reliablity that the Super Sniper Line carries and is more than capable of withstanding lots of torment (for lack of a better word) and turret spinning.  it has the "tacticool" look and is good glass.

While the 2-7 Vortex Viper is a nice hunting scope at a bargain price it is in not really  a Tactical Optic which would have features like stronger than average build, Target / Tactical knobs or special reticles designed to rangefind distance, or illumination to guide the eye quickly onto target.
If you are coyote hunting with a fixed power you will not want to use higher than a 6X because you will have shots under 100 yds.  On the other hand the 6x42 super sniper should be a fine choice in your price range and if you could actually break loose more money the 3-9x42 Super Sniper would be even better.

Either 10x42 or 6x42 Super Sniper is your best bet in this case.

I was thinking Super Sniper too.  But I don't want a fixed power.  Also I'd like something stronger than max magnification of 9.

I would go with a 3-9x42 Super Sniper if I wanted a variable but its over your price so is this but it has the mount included so might work for you if it an AR

its not an ar, its a savage. and i want a variable zoom, not a fixed power, and stronger than a max magnification of 9, and an objective lens that is 40 or larger.  other than that i believe it does'nt really matter to much to me.
