I like the fancy wood box they come in
No nothing about them 8's never heard of them either. They are apparently made in Japan though so they should have some merit if the whole made in japan means good theory holds up

The only concerning thing I see is they lest the reticles as SFP on the scopes page, but, on the reticle page, state the ranging reticles can be used at any magnification. To further confuse, they say the reticles stay the same size throughout the magnification range.

The Rudolph Optics riflescopes is manufactured in Japan and is "the intellegent alternative" to any tactical & hunting scope available in the market!
Taking the craftmanship and the quality of the optics into consederation, this is the best value for money on the market!
The are two models available, the T1 2.5-10x50mm and the T1 4-16x56mm, with four different reticles.
The T1 2.5-10x50mm, with a generiuos eye relief of 115mm is an excellent option for a big calibre rifle like a .375 H&H.
The T1 4-16x56mm with the TS (Tactical Skelton) reticle is a excellent option for a tactical scope up to 800 meters.
The retail price of $500 mentioned is a bit on the low side as the models are retailing for $750 and $800 respectively - still much lower than any competitive models!

All reticles of the T1 riflescopes remain constant in size through the entire magnification range. When shooting moving game at low magnification, the hunter benefits from a reticle that remains clearly visible at all times. With high magnification and long shooting distances, target coverage is minimal.
When referring to the reticles staying the same size when enlarging the magnification, it means the reticle is in the second focal plane, as is most of the riflescope models on the market!

But with a second focal plane scope, such as yours, the reticle(especially a mil-dot) is only "correct at one magnification. Of course there are trade-offs for first focal plane scope as well. But one is not better than another, just different.

We do not have anything against first focal plane reticles and understand the logic behind it, but unfortunetly the demand for first focal plane reticles is much less.
Thanks anyway for your interest in our product and hopefully soon we will be a well known brand in the US!
We would love to see our product in the SWFA catalogue, but have not made contact with them yet!
Thanks for a very nice optics forum!
