I JUST GOT MY NEW RIFLE, THE SAVAGE 110 BA IN 338 LAPAU MAG, WHAT SCOPE WOULD BE A BETTER CHOICE THE NIGHTFORCE 5.5-22X 56 OR THE 8-32X-56, WILL THE 8-32X-56 BE OK AT 100 YDS FOR A CLOSE SHOT, I KNOW THE 5.5 -22X-56 WILL DIAL DOWN OK, THANKSBig Smile

This 30 Mil combo will get me anywhere I can see my target...26mils or 27mils in the scope and the rest in the base.

This is a SWFA 10X42HD.

It replaced a scope similar to the one you mentioned.

I haven't lost a beat.  The adjustments are spot on and it is built like a tank.  It is very fitting for this rifle I think.

Again the Adjustment range is why I chose this setup.

I can zero at 100yrds and still go to 2000yrds.  A little over 1400 inches of drop on a good calm day.  2200yrds is about the max for this combo though, but being I still haven't found A place in my area that I can stretch it to I have kept it around the 2000yrd mark, its to bad their is only as much energy at that distance as a .44mag.

Yeah, but on the bright side, when you only tickle 'em with that wimpy remaining energy that far out and hack 'em off, they'll at least be winded by the time they can get to you.

100yrd zero as he posted... I haven't fine toothed it this is just a quick calc to make sure I wasn't too far off, how I got the original data was my personal equipment book with the CNC LRB MOD. 245-250
