Anyone have one? Would it be better for 300-400 yard shots vs a regular #4 Reticle?

Yes.

Kinda.

Gotta learn it.

And verify everything on the range at known distances.

I had one (FFP version, is the 4A or 4B FFP?) for a day, loved the glass, liked the reticle, hated the eye relief.  So long as it ain't going on a boomer, enjoy.

If it is going on a boomer, carry some of those butterfly sutures in your field bag.  Getting a kiss from a Meopta is inevitable if your gun has any significant recoil.
Freedom is something you take.
Respect is something you earn.
Equality is something you whine about not being given.

They are both FFP as far as I know. It would go on a 270 and a 35 whelen so recoil shouldn't be too much of an issue.

Hi,

The 4A and 4B reticles are available in the Artemis 2000 series (4x32, 6x42, 7x50, 1.5-6x42, 2-8x42, 3-9x42, 3-12x50) as well as the Meostar R1 3-12x56.  All are FFP scopes.  The 4A and 4B have identical holdover-markers on the 6 o-clock position, but the 4A is calibrated for range estimation (of a deer or similar) at 400yds, while the 4B goes out to 600yds.
Yes I work for Meopta, but I am not here to sell Meopta. Just answering questions and providing reasonable insight.

I thought that #4a reticle was just a wider #4?  Perhaps, I am wrong.

Now that I think about, do you think I could impose on you to make a table of Meopta reticle and their dimensions as they are used in different scopes?  I am starting an overview article for Meopta riflescopes, and I can't find the reticle details anywhere online.

Thanks
ILya
