I signed up to be on a church bowling league. Starts tonight.  Bowled years ago in college but not since, sold all my bowling balls when I hurt my finger, now getting back into it I'm pricing them and good grief they are much higher now.  I think I paid like $60 for a nice ball back in 03' and now the same model'ish is over $100.

Got me curious, how many bowlers we have amoung us.

I once bowled a 285... luckiest game I ever rolled and have bowled seldom since.  I certainly have not improved...

I love bowling.  Not very good at it, and after a couple games, my shoulder does some funny things.  Have to find some time to try it again.

I have not bowled since a very drunken night in Subic Bay Philippines, circa 1992...
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

I used to bowl quite often. Hurt my back and quit about a year ago or more and never really got back into it. I still have all of my stuff and go occasionally. I used to bowl consistently over 200. If you have any questions about balls I don't know a ton but I can definitely help some.

I've been reading alot on the net about them.  Appears that the best one to get for my hook that I throw is a reactive resin ball.  Been looking at them to figure out more on the weights inside them to figure out what I need.  Gonna go visit with the pro today at lunch to talk about them.

Yeah, I couldn't let it go untouched on the know how you have with the balls. You handled it with the soft touch and care you handle most things with. I hate you hurt your back and had to give up slinging the balls down the wood. Most of the time its wrist problem that happen when slinging the balls at the pin's. Me, I gave it a shot once. I'm not much of a ball slinger. I tended to hit where I wasn't aiming and the balls were always so slippery and I couldn't get a firm grip on them. I have heard of people using baby powder to help get a better grip but it gets pasty on the inside after a few games.
