Hi Guys,
Newbi here, I am looking for a new optic for my Mini 14 with an amega range mini scout scope mount. I really want a non magnified red dot optic that also has a black reticle. If the battery ever died, I want to use the black reticle to aim with. I recently came across the Aim sports 4x32 tactical with the integrated fiber optic top mounted sight at my local gun show. I believe it has black reticle and also has an illuminate a red and green dot reticle. My concerned about its quality and not having enough eye relief to see down range through it. If there are any other optic options please let me know. |

$300 or less. I am on a budget. I wish I could afford an Acog.

If thats the case then I'd look at something like the burris fastfire, you won't have a dot if the battery dies but you'd still have irons. it doesn't have magnification but lets face it a mini14 ain't exactly a tack driver unless you've put some $$ into it, and based on your budget for the scope I'm imagining its not been worked over for accuracy. (nothing wrong with that just a guess) I think you'd be better off with something along those lines than the cheaper stuff because the cheaper stuff will not last long and will be a headache getting replacements. Look into these -

May I suggest Burris Tac 30 1-4 with illuminated reticle? Still has black if its off or no battery. Very bright for day use, can use at 1x with both eyes open. Crystal clear. 299 bucks
