We will be getting snow flurries a little before the opening of the gun show.
May be able to pick up some deals early if the weather holds the crowds back. |

Had some areas of slick roads on the way to the Gun Show. This kept he crowds back in the AM. The age of the attendance was much higher than normal. I guess all the younger crowd was to soft to go out in the cold. This facilitated the opportunity to sit and talk with Wayne Baker of Freedom arms for over an hour. He has lead an impressive life. From flying bombing runs over Germany during WWII, Owning a coal mine with Art Linkletter Owning a ranch on the Idaho and Montana border plus and Freedom Arms. The perfection in fit and finish of the Freedom arms is absolute perfection.
Another person of interest was Wally Brownlee President of TargetShooting.com. He has the most advanced shooting bench I have ever sit on. There is a new table top swivel base for his shooting rest that swivels smooth as silk. This base is so new it is not yet on his website. Wally was gracious enough to give ann invitation to his range to try out some of his products. In all it was a fund day at the show even after our first snow of this winter for us. |

Evening gents
We had a dusting of snow yesterday morning, but nothing serious. I went down to KCR for some conversation, and to check out the lower ranges. They are all under water. The firing line cover for the lower range where we usually hold the assault/military bolt action rifle match is completely under water, and it's about 14' tall. Even at our alternate location much of the area is under water. Hopefully the river will fall fast, as it's already crested.

Hello folks, grey and wet here plus I have succumbed to the stinking cold that is going around the office.
Other than that was our first wedding anniversary over the weekend so we had a nice meal out - sadly due to the aforementioned cold the weekend was otherwise a bit of a write-off. Other positives, ordered a horizontal safety and cocking piece for the 9.3x62 from Sarco and that arrived on Saturday. Hope everyone had a good weekend. Scrummy

Sucks having a spring time cold. Just wonder when spring is going to get here. The only thing turning green around here is honey suckle, and drunks.
Hope you get to feeling better Scrummy. |
