Mornin gents. Scrummy, you're not in London, you're in Loonyville, Ky.. Is it hot there too? Skip, so sorry to hear about your friend. I know what it's like, especially when they are so young.

"G", now that we have moved to N Ga. I'm closer. If you need any help with anything give me a call. I've been through several flooding events... they suck bad.

The last time I was in Ely, Nevada the heat wasn't working in the motel room. I wound up with a horrible cold. It was February and snow up the wazoo.... |

Yeah, Debbie's husband said it gets below zero in the winter, and not that hot in the summer; said the elevation was over 6,000 feet.

We are getting over the 5.77" of rain from Friday. Cooled off and down to 65F this morning. Cloudy and still wet. So I am sorting a large box of receipts collecting by the bedside table that have been collecting over the last few years. Oldest so far is 02. Most are from the past 3 years. I place receipts in my shirt pocket during the day and put them in the box for keeping. Procrastination can be tough at times.

Feels like it here too Pedler. Next weekend off to hunt muntjac. Question for you folks: Going for a small deer such as muntjac. 17"- 20" at the shoulder and 20-40lbs body weight, what would you use? Choices are: CZ527 in .223 Rem, zeroed for 200yds with 62 gr Federal Fusion FN Commerical in .257 Roberts, zeroed for 200yds with Federal Premium 120gr Nosler partition Both rifles are topped with German or Austrian scopes, 3-12x50 with illuminated dot, No 4 reticles. Let me know your thoughts. Scrummy |

Morning all,
Well, 40F (was 37F first thing!) here this morning, bright sun and the leaves are starting to turn. Feeling like autumn and hunting season. Went and shot a competition this weekend at 200yds Chamois Target 5
shots prone 5
shots sitting with a single stick support Sitting
fox target 5
shots sitting with twin sticks 5
shots standing with twin sticks Shot
OK on the chamois, rubbish on the fox score wise but all would have killed it Still, all set for hunting this weekend! I have a 404J
but I think a bit much gun for a muntjac. Maybe my 9.3x62 a good compromise?
Tempted to use the 257 Roberts as also legal if a fallow deer steps out. Scrummy Edited by Scrumbag - September/24/2018 at 03:21 |

Sounds like a fun shoot you had Scrum. Was it a club event or just friends? |

Hi SVT, was a shoot put on by my club. If you win either the fox or the chamois, you get a Stein!

Good morning all, Clear blue skies, bright sun, little breeze and cool at 43F this morning. Even had some steam coming off the river Thames. Starting to look hopeful for the weekend - Lots of hungry little deer! Scrummy |
