Safe travels Skip.
Scrummy, I don't know how you put up with all of that Government intervention. Sounds like a major PITA to me. BF, bummer on the KCR shoot. Bud, wake up and leave the sheep alone!

That is a mutually exclusive statement... if Bud is awake, the sheep are in danger... |

Well, it's 50 degrees here in Waco on the Chisholm Trail. Going up to 45 this afternoon! Last week some big, burly Texans were telling me that I had better get gas in my school bus because Monday was going to be COLD!!!! |

Mornin gents. Overall, the weekend was a good time. I got to visit with some old friends, and made some new ones. Got to talk to Dolf Goldsmith, a very interesting gentleman who has written 5 volumes on the Browning machine guns, as well as books on the Maxim, Vickers, and other machine guns. He also speaks Dutch, Cantenese, and probably a few other languages. I also spent way too much money again. Didn't get to watch the firing line to much, but that may change in the future. I do feel feel refreshed now that I have been to machine gun Mecca.

Afternoon gents. Out running around in this nastiness they call weather doing errands and dealing with the VA, which to my surprise has actually been beneficial. Got to thinking about what to do this year hunting wise but with nerve damage in my hand pulling a trigger on an animal seems to not be ethical. Probably going to pick up some reloading materials and use my time wisely while I heal. Plus my list of things to do around the house seem to multiply 🙄.
Gonna pick up reloading, fix the smoker that came with the house we bought, learn to cook/smoke food, do some small interior renovations and build my workbench area in the garage. Anyone else have any ideas or projects they want me to do while I’m at it since the ol lady seems to think I run like a well-oiled factory 😂😂😂 |

Mike, I could do with a work / reloading bench combo jerky maker / smoker / beer fridge unit rigging up over the weekend if you could squeeze it in? Thanks, Scrummy

Scrummy, I’d get right on that but I think customs and shipping is gonna cost at least a few hundred grand. I may of underestimated that number though

Morning all! Hope this finds you well. Grey and muggy here, still hoping for that cold snap to start the vegetation die back. Not sure when I am going to get hunting next. My weekends keep getting eaten up!
Hey Mike, ask Peddler about my schemes for payment in kind ;)

Mornin gents. Ed, it's probably easier to tell us where you haven't been. Mike, I'm looking at retirement in 46 days, and I can tell you my next year is already filled with projects for Mrs. BF. When I get the new backhoe, things will get real serious then. Mostly cloudy, starting in low 40s and going to mid 50s. My nephew put out a few trail cams on my place that text his phone when they are activated. He says I'm covered up in deer. |

Morning Gents!
Well I rounded the bend of a twisty section of road on my morning commute to find a fair sized Buck, 6-8 points, sitting in my lane on the edge of the road. He was trying to stand up but his back half wasn't working... He had obviously been hit. They was nowhere for a car to safety stop but it wouldn't have mattered as the A-hole behind me (in a big hurry) ran over him again. The poor buck got stuck under his car..... Still turns my stomach a bit, I don't like seeing or knowing an animal had to suffer unnecessarily!!! Still I guess it was quicker for the deer than just being left there...

Mornin gents. It's sunny with not a cloud in the sky. Started at 41 and going to upper 50s, and there is a V22 Osprey parked outside my office. And after the last 2 post, mt naturally bad attitude just got worse. Hey Ed, you remember the intersection and date you had that wreck?
