Very sorry for your loss Deck. It's most troubling when parents go.

Deck, I am so sorry for your loss. I too know what it's like to lose a father, and there is not a day that I don't think about him, and it seems like I always have a question for him or mom that will never be answered, and then I miss them even more. The unfortunate thing about life, is that loss is inevitable, and I think loosing our parents is a milestone in our lives. Our parents spend their lives preparing us for life, and I think we honor them by how we live our lives after they are gone. Even though they may not physically be with us as we go through life after their loss, they will always be with us in our very being. Decker, my prayers are with you and your family. Be strong for your family, it is what your dad would want.

Mornin gents WOW, what a weekend. I took Monday off for Mrs. BF's birthday and to go look for a tractor/backhoe. Also had my monthly trap shoot Saturday; man was it hot, unfortunately I wasn't. I wasn't bad, I just wasn't good enough. The heat finally got to everyone, so we quit a little early, and after we ate most everybody left. Sunday was kind of a lazy day except for rebuilding my duty pistol and test firing it and a couple of other pistols. Monday was tractor hunting day which required a lot of driving and stopping and talking to different dealerships and salesmen. I think I have finally found a tractor/backhoe that I hope to buy soon. It's a Mahindra 3640 with a loader, and backhoe. It's made in Texas at the same plant that makes Case International tractors that are almost the same tractor. Even though it's not an International, I think dad would approve under the circumstances. Mrs. BF thinks my new tractor will be sexy. |

My sincere condolences Deck. Dads are funny things (me included) they usually are the disciplinarians in the family and can be a real pain. But good ones can be loving too. I know what you mean about being best friends, Sometimes my Dad was more like a friend. I have so many memories of him and I doing stuff... huntin, fishin, skiin, playin cards... on and on. Same with my Sons. there isn't a day that goes by that something doesn't remind me of him, so you got that to look forward to! another good part of that is you tend to remember just the good things. Time helps to heal us. God Bless.

Mornin gents BREAKING NEWS! There are TWO Jim Beam warehouses on fire. About 40,000 barrels of bourbon going up in a roaring fire. Skies are mostly clear, and temps start in low 70s and going to upper 80s with the humidity in the "You need your scuba gear" levels, with a chance of isolated popup thunderstorms. |
