Mornin comradesCoffee

I knew there were some hills in Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I was on a couple of them a long time ago; just not the ones Lile was talking about.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Crossing Oklahoma there are several bumps in the roads. Wink

I once ran over a catfish walking across the road.

I bumped a Deer out of the road on the way up to the Camp. The deer kept on running. First time to hit a Deer. Skylar got an Armadillo just after. The armadillo was flopping all over the place.

Deck, walleye fishing on Ontario is fun but they aren't much to eat. 10# Walleyes don't taste good.

Oneida Lake just north of Syracuse has the best eating Walleyes. My #1 supplier won't keep anything over 19". We are having fish for dinner tonite, not sure what either stream caught wild Brown Trout or Walleyes.

Morning gang!

I just talked to my Sister.  Everyone is leaving the beaches in Jacksonville.  My Older sister's place seems to be the safe-home since she has a generator.   Aunt Dolly's house is only 2 blocks off the beach it will almost definitely get flooded....  Mom will be heading over after they get Dolly settled.
Even if G makes it back safely, they will probably get some flooding as he is pretty close to rivers and the beach...

We are all prepped and ready for the ride. Depending on the track, we may be hard hit (or not). Right now they are saying 70mph winds inland and Cat 4 (120-130 mph winds) on the coast. Stores are empty, gas is sold out and highways are a mess. It should hit later tonight. Hope my guns survive! LOL Hippie

Good to hear your ready as can be for the ride Bugs.
Bud, I hope your family is all inland and safe from high water and winds, and have plenty of supplies.

This is all a good reminder to me to service my generator, and wood burning stove, and check my other equipment and supplies.

I'm back.... just been busy preparing just like Bugs.... still allot of uncertainty with this storm.  forcast now looks like it's going to double back around..... not good.   I'm 1.5 miles from the coast line as a crow flies and 1600 ft from the river that feeds off the ocean..... flooding is a real possibility if it comes this way as we've have above average rainfall already lately. rivers are almost breaking over in places already.

This ^^^. I hate hunting when it's hot. Temps in the 20's and 30's with some snow. More gooder for me.
