I've handled all of them, but shooting them is different. All 1911s are the same but different; most of them hate me, but a very few love me (they all have different personallities to me).
The best thing I can tell you, is pick them up, hold them, sight them, try the trigger, work the slide, and repeat. See how the pistol feels and points for you. If it doesn't bite and feels good; lay your cash down. Of course if you can shoot it first that's even better.
Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Came home with 1000 rounds of 180 gr FMJ Federal for 259.00. Big Grin

Didn't pick up any .22 LR but saw a few pistols that might just have a new home around spring time. I was tempted to buy more but remembered i need the majority of my scratch for optics.

I did handle a SR22 like you mentioned and liked it a lot.

Plus they had a SP101 and Taurus 94 in revolvers. Ruger felt a little better in my hand but also costs more.

Trop's is a nice shop.  Clean, roomy and well stocked!

I'm suffering from shell shock. Dad hasn't been feeling well, and my sister has been bugging the crap out of me. Not that her concerns aren't legit, but some of her concerns are micro worriement. Take 2 aspirans and call me in the morning, but she can't wait.

Thanks G.
I don't think it's serious, but it's causing him not to take care of himself, and it's wearing him down.

he is 150% better.  WE all have come to the conclusion that his pancrease has been bad for a while and only come to light recently.  He is acting like he did 3-4 years ago now.  Much much better!  I honestly would have told you he might not make it through this past Christmas the beginning of December but now he is just so so much better, thanks for asking.
