Back in the Dark Ages I used to work for NCOA in San Antonio.  That was goodies and Insurance for enlisted men because USAA was for Officers Only....

I had ID that allowed me entrance on all bases In America and we could actually drink in the NCO Club...

Little flakes coming down now. New Haven just east of Oswego got about 4" last nite. We had snow pellets all day yesterday just south of Cape Vincent where we hunt. Muzzleloader opened yesterday. Saw lots of doe no horns.

Just looked out the window and it's snowing a little harder now. I was going to mow and mulch leaves after lunch. Maybe not!

Yep!  morning boyz!

Hard frost ended the garden.  Harvested the last bells and toms yesterday and got snow/sleet/rained on during the process.  Later it was raining and hailing...

Did I mention it was COLD!!!!  Man, it cut like a knife and I'm just a little bit thin blooded right now because of weight loss.  I helped a buddy of mine site in a rifle his brother gave him.  His brother was moving back to Germany.

This was the second rifle his brother gave him.  The first wasn't anything special at all.... it was a Remmy 780 in .308 with bushy 3-9.  This one, to my surprise was a Steyr Mannlicher SM12 SX in 30-06 with (even more to my surprise) a 2.5 to 10 X 50 S&B....  well it was at least a 50mm bell if not 56mm.
It was an older S&B with all nomenclature in German.  It makes me wonder if it's not actually from Germany as his brother has spent years there.....

Nice package!  The Steyr shot pretty good and handles nicely.  I'm jealous! Smile

Morning boys.  Just in from a trip down to the Keys........ got skunked this time.  Terrible weather and seas made for a rough trip.

And it was warm...

Mornin comradesCoffee tea

Spent Sat. mornin getting the tires on my truck balanced for the 4th time (different tire shop this time). These guys found issues with 3 of the 4 tires. Managed to get one of them in spec by remounting it, but 2 need to be replaced. The store that mounted them originally and balanced them 3 times said I had a suspension issue and wanted to start replacing shocks and such; don't think I'll be going back to them. I just know I've spent more on tires I bought from a dealer off the internet than if I'd just gone to a tire store.

I got 3 bad tires last time I bought some. Then of the 3 replacement ones 1 of those was bad.  I like that the tire store guy takes care of it for me.  I would have been up the creek had they been off the net.

I'm afraid by the time I've got a decent set of tires on my truck, it's going to cost me so much that I could've gone to the high end tire boutique in the high rent district and bought the European racing truck tires and come out ahead.
