Got this from Bigdaddy last summer. Haven't been off the road long enough to shoot her yet.

Threw Old Faithful, (my 10x rear focus SS), on her today. Heading to ye olde shooting range tomorrow.

Remington 700 .243 Win, BC stock, SS 10x, EGW 0 MOA rail, and SS medium rings. Not sure who made the cheek piece.

It's a RH'er....so I hope it don't "s'plode" when I start shooting. Bandito

Nice CT.  That Bigdaddy has a few nice toys from time to time.  Will be waiting the range report.  Will keep my fingers crossed on the exploding thing for ya.

Tip, I think it was a SPS Varmint. Barrel does indeed look long, but she's 26".
BD may chime in when he sees this thread and verify whether it was a SPS V, or not.

Sweet lil rig, CT! I am trying desperately to talk the wife into letting me start the mods on the 243 I just bought her... I have a feeling its going to be a hard fight!
If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Roger that.

Brandon sent some pics of groups he shot with her and she did quite well. Brandon's an exceptional shooter too boot.

I think he shot hand loads and all I got are some Rem Core Lokt's and some Winchester stuff. I'll give her a whirl and see what I can do.
Need the .243 brass to reload for this unit. Been wanting a .243 for a while just to shoot targets.

Here's a 5 shot group at 100 yds with the .243 and some factory 100 gr Winchester Power Point.
I haven't even shot a rifle since last summer. Shooting is a perishable skill, my friends. I should have done better.

I was working on a "goodin" and pulled the 4th shot on another group that was a tad tighter.  Bucky
Got some brass now, so we'll start reloading for her and see what she'll do.

All in all, it's a very nice rifle and the B&C stock is really nice. Glad I got a .243. It's my first.

The X Pro trigger isn't too swift, but usable....barely. Wink
Can these triggers be adjusted, or should I just scrap it and get an aftermarket?

Not bad, with a little work, you might be a decent shot, someday.  Wink

No experience with Remmy triggers.

Looks like pretty good shooting to me. Nice rig.

I think the xpro is user-adjustable, but I don't have one.

I think your right, Matt. I had forgotten that when I posted. I think I'll just dump the X and pick up an aftermarket. Maybe pop some coin for a Jewell. Wink

Timney has always worked well for me at a reasonable price.

Tough to beat a Jewell though.
