I was looking for any available information on rangefinders. I would primarily be using it for bow hunting so the criticle distances for me are 10-65 yards. I would like to stick around or under $350. I may also use it for an occasional varmit but that wouldnt be very often.

Nearly all range finders will have a minimum distance of 10 or 11 yards. The Nikon Buckmaster and Monarch line would be a good choice under $350. |

Thanks for the info Brady. I really like Nikon binocs and scopes but I heard some bad buzz about the rangefinders. And typically I dont like bushnell scopes and binocs but Ive heard some good reviews on their rangefinders. The other day I cam across a rangefinder that is supposed to help account for the height of your tree stand. Somehow it gives you the actuall distance. Brady or anyone can you give me some insight on to any of these things.

I have used the Nikon 4x Pro Staff for bow hunting the past two seasons and it has worked fine for that purpose. ( It also does double duty when hunting with firearms, but is more limited than some of the more expensive models.)
