My brother is going to order one of these two scopes in 3-9 for his AR. It is a 20 inch barrel 1/8 twist. Is the mark AR better or worse optically then vx II? He will most likely be shooting 75 grain hornady bthp. What do you think guys, which of the to is better?

I just started shooting these reloaded out of my 7 twist, Bravo Middy. Is he reloading or shooting factory rounds?

These will be reloads. He hasn't worked up a load for the rifle yet but plans to. I have heard good things on this forum about the 75's.
I have a 16 inch 1-8 twist and I will be giving them a try in that as well

Some use Varget, but I've been happy with IMR 4895.

Every CDS dial features ¼-MOA click Thunbs Up increment finger adjustments and no adjustment covers to lose, making the VX-2, VX-3, VX-6 and VX-R even more accurate and rugged.

How the CDS™ System Works

The CDS System works by laser-inscribing your scope's elevation dial to match your load, velocity and conditions. Your scope will be in perfect synch with the way your rifle and load shoots, even for hand loads.

Each CDS dial is unique, taking all practical ballistic and environmental factors into account:

  • Cartridge & Caliber
  • Bullet Weight
  • Bullet Make/Brand
  • Bullet Type
  • Ballistic Coefficient
  • Muzzle Velocity
  • Average Elevation
  • Average Temperature

CDS Advantages

  • Quickly dial in elevation to different sight-in ranges.
  • Swap dials quickly by loosening set screws.
  • Match dials with specific loads for maximum accuracy.
  • Precision ¼-MOA click increment adjustment.
  • No adjustment covers to lose.
  • One revolution stops available for custom dials.
