I am having the most difficult time finding a low power, compact, non-battery powered rifle scope for an AK with a side rail optics mounts.  Any suggestions?  Thanks guys!

Agree with Koshkin, need more info, but I have the 1.75-6x below and Like it.  With the side rail mounts you might be better off with the 1-5x, though.  Really like the #4 reticle, and I had the custom shop at Leupold put it in my 1.75-6x.  Good luck in your quest.

I would like a 1-3x scope for shooting.  Since the max effective range, as opposed to total range, for the 7.62x39 is only about 300 yards at best, this is not long distance hunting, but much closer.  Maybe a simple tactical scope, around $200 would be best.

For 300 yards, why do you need a tactical scope?

You could simply get Weaver V3 1-3x20 and use it to great effect within 300 Yards.  It is a nice little scope and it is within your price range.

Quick acquisition of multiple targets.  I like Acog, Trijicon, but they are little more expensive than I can afford currently but want something similar.

There is a reason why they cost what they cost.

You are not going to find something similar in your price range.

There are a few rather crappy Chinese products, that rip off the styling of the ACOG, but that is as far as it goes.

Perhaps a vortex strike fire? Just throwing it out there. It comes with a 2x doubler that isn't too spectacular but it functions for the price.
