I have a Weaver Scope that I hope someone can tell me about. I know it is a KV 2 3/4 to 5. Made in Elpaso, Texas. But I have never seen one like this and have Googled till my eyes have hurt and can't find anything about it. It has a adjustable AO on it and it says 12 power on the scope. It also says Targeteer R.A.Litschert Winchester Indiana. The scope is about 21 inches long and at about 13 1/2 inches you can unscrew the AO part off of it. Thought maybe it was a add on to the scope, but when you unscrew it there is no glass in the tube. Other markings on the scope are 12 k4-k5.
Any help on what this could be. Thanks in advance.

It's an old 1959 El Paso KV ( which was Weaver's first variable of which only two powers--2.5X and 5X--- were available ) and you have a Litschert Scope Attachment [ that was 'after market' ] attached to it.  Your Litschert is a 12 X boost.

Litschert sold the company in 1961 to Davis Optical Co. which made optics until 1987.

So the 12 x boost is a add on. OK, made me wonder though because the scope has no glass in it. Unscrew the a/o and you can see to the adjustment screws in the tube. Is this normal? And is this add on a rare thing or did they make a bunch of them? Thanks for the information.
