Nice job helo, looks like one heck of a match up.  Couple questions though, do you think you will add a leather shell holder or anything to help with a good sight picture, or is this a non issue for you.  Also wondering if you have some time left to hunt with it this season, hope you have time to take an animal with it.

Ruger No. 1 in 7mm STW
Custom Barrel and Trigger
2.5-15x56 Illum 4a Swaro Z6

Bought the scope and gun through SWFA and they treated me great in the whole process.

Haven't weighed it yet.  It does feel a touch front heavy, but that will help a little with recoil I am sure. Overall it doesn't feel that heavy (at least compared to my 300 WM).

Still need to go shoot it, but the work schedule is kinda tight for this week.  Hopefully saturday I will get it out and sight it in and maybe even pop a deer with it.  Have till the Sunday after Thanksgiving to get something.

I was a little worried about how high the scope would sit, but CFII hooked me up perfectly.  Don't need a riser at all on it.  Feels great to me.

I have some ammo to get started and then will reload for it, as I do with all my big rifles.  Might even have to try out the new Nosler LR bullets in it.  Or convince a certain member here that he needs to get me some custom goods.

Very nice. The 1B's do run a touch heavy but I guess it's depends (on the caliber) if the weight is necessary or problematic. I'm thinkin' my .300 WM weighed about 8.25 lbs. naked, but the balance was about perfect. Excellent

I like that they eject rather than just extract.  I had one in 30-06 for a while but it was not as accurate as I had hoped it would be. One of my friends had one in 25-06 that was super accurate.
