It's not a gun or a scope but it sure is a SWEET SET UP.  I thought everyone should know what Brady's other deer stand looks like....in case he tries to tell ya how rough he has it.

.

Why did you take the satellite dish off it?

Well I couldn't fit my big screen tv through the door so I had to make a sacrifice.

Chris

How do you like that 700 Titanium? How about the recoil and modifications to it?I've been thinking of getting one chambered in 260 and having the barrel shortened to 20" but I haven't heard many reports about them.

I love it, recoil is mild with Lex's stock and recoil pad.  It went to Shilen for the 16" barrel and trigger, Lex at Rifles Inc. for the stock, further lightening and custom accuracy work, then to Lauer Custom Weaponry for the camo job.  Scope and mounts are Swarovski 3-9 and Talley.

Chris

What's your opinion of the gun out of the box? This is probably how I will use it for awhile.

That sounds like a nice setup you got.I'm curius, how did they make it lighter? Kevlar stock maybe?

I never shot it out of the box, so I really can't say much other than it felt and handle very well.  Lex mills down the reciever and bolt handle a little, replaces some parts with lighter parts and uses his lighter stock.

Brady suggested I post pics of my "sweet setup", so here it is.

It's an Anschutz 164 Sporter .22 I bought new in 1982. The scope is a Leupold M8 6x Compact with A/O that was made in 1989, and the rings are Millett.

I bought the scope a couple of weeks ago and replaced the Leupold M8 4x the gun has had on it since I bought it.

It sure doesn't compare to the stuff you guys have on here, but it's a pretty nice little rifle, and it sure is bad news on squirrel heads!!

Pretty sweet fw707.... looks like you figured out how to get it on here! Doesn't need to be "5lbs scoped", or have all the gizmo's known to mankind hanging off the sides to be considered a "sweet setup". Just as long as you can get those squirrel heads!!!

Thanks Brady.

The direct upload makes posting pics pretty easy.

Here are some 3-shot 25 yd. groups I shot with it yesterday. Not too shabby for a sporter weight gun and 6x.

Looks like your consistently shooting just a hair high. Dial that scope down a click or 2 and you should be hitting dead on.

We need one pistol in here.  This is my Super Redhawk in .454 Casull with a Burris 2X7.  There are no grizzlies or buffalo here in Louisiana, but this does the job on deer and wild hogs.  I normally shoot a "reduced" load; 335gr Cast Performance at 1350fps.  This is still quite a bit more than a .44 Mag but its a lot more comfortable to shoot than full house .454.  I do shoot a 300gr at 1850 on occasion.  A shooting glove keeps it from hurting your hand, but the wrist and elbow take a pounding after 10 shots or so.

This is my sweetest setup, Kimber 84 in .260 Rem with Leupold VX III 2.5X8X36.  It's the best handling rifle I've ever held.
