Hi mate,

I know this is an old post but if you are still an active member and still have this scope?

Can you please tell me if the z varmint reticle is ok in low light e.g spot lighting rabbits or foxes .

And is it ok for target shoot at 200yards.

Thanks in advance

I think you'll find the varmint Z great for targets, but pretty easy to lose in low light.  Specs on that reticle are very close to that on the older Conquest 6.5-20, and it's pretty tough to see against a dark background when the light fades.  The Rapid Z-800 is going to be a much better reticle for low light -- quite a bit thicker/bolder, but not as handy for target work.

Thankyou .
I was having trouble deciding between the Zplex and Zvarmint.

I like to shoot with one rifle day and night so I need to make the right decision before I buy .

I think i have made up my mind and im going with the zplex.

Thanks again .

Sorry, I am still active, but I didn't see the post until today.

Varmint is a bit thin and will be difficult to see under low light.
