kinda set on this scope for my Browning 243 ....preferably the 4a reticle but if the plex is plenty bold may consider it as well

Great scope, put one on my daughter's x-bolt in .243

People that have then know what they have and don't usually want to let them go. Prices have doubled when you find one on Ebay.
Folks ain't got a sense of humor no more. They don't laugh they just get sore.

Need to follow the rules. Just hard to determine which set of rules to follow
Now the rules have changed again.

I used to have a couple of those.  Nice scopes.  I havn't  seen any of them for remotely reasonable prices for quite some time.

a guy PM'd me and has a 4a for sale. wants $625 for it. is this about what they go for and is it worth that price?? have been deciding on this scope or a 3-9 meopta which i can get for around 300 bucks

The Meopta is a good enough scope that small improvements in performance cost larger and larger amounts of money.
The Kahles is quite an improvement over the Meopta in more than one category and it's price reflects that fact. Here's a relative performance scale- it's several years old, but quite valid today:

Was the 2-7 Kahles for $625 a CL or the AH? The CL  has better glass than the AH. Both are fine scopes. I would like to swap my AH for another CL. Both were priced under $400 when I bought them. I do not think you will find any scope, better in the 2-7 range than the Kahles CL, priced under the $625 price you quoted.

is the plex reticle in the CL 2-7 pretty bold? comparable to a zeiss perhaps?
