Except for the obvious magnification range differences, are these scopes the same quality and same glass?
Thanks, Mike |

They are built to the same standard. Optical systems are obviously different.
Coatings are the same. On the same settings (magnification and EP), same image quality. ILya

I have only handled a total of 1 Minox ZA3, a 3-9x40. I did not care for the Chinese turrets, as they were very "mushy" feeling to me. Glass was good though. Reports from the crowd on another forum give the ZA3 mixed reviews. Hope that helps, but take it FWIW.

JG,
Were you looking at the ZA3 or, the less expensive, ZV3? From my understanding the ZA3 components are manufactured in Germany and assembled in the US where the ZV is chinese. Has anyone done a comparison between the ZV and ZA lines? I read one review that stated that, to their eyes, they could not notice a difference between the two. Thanks, Mike |

I've spent a lot of time with Minox turrets. They do not have the best feel, but the track true and hold zero.
