    Posted: November/12/2013 at 18:06
We have used many different brands of bubble levels and decided to start making our own.  From previous experience we knew one thing that we wanted to avoid on our SWFA SS Bubble Level.  The way almost all bubble levels were setup before made you see four lines instead of two when using your "weak" eye to glance at the level and still maintaing your cheek weld, as seen below.

We personally have always found this rather distracting in the field as the lines grab your attention much more than the bubble and are rather difficult to distinguish between one another.  We found a simple yet effective solution.  Instead of using lines as a frame of reference, to center the bubble in the level, we completely enclosed the level except where the bubble should be.  It draws your eye to the bubble much faster and efficently, as seen below.

One other thing that has always bothered us was having to deal with getting another bubble level when purchasing a new scope with a different diamater tube.  Just like our popular SSALT AR Mount our new SWFA SS Bubble Level is designed to fit a 30mm tube scope and comes with 1" inserts to make it much more universal and help keep some of that hard earned green in your pocket.

Any plans on a 34mm version?

A well-designed accessory, for sure. Kudos to SWFA for details like eliminating the lines and adding 1" inserts.

Very cool level.  I love the insert feature that allows for moving from a 1" to 30mm scope and back.

Lot of look-alikes on eBay. Didn't it seem odd to pay $149?
