Just wanted to say thanks to everyone on here for all your advice and answering questions. Its been a great source of info.

Scope arrived this week, put it on this morning. Had to mount it back as far as I could to get the eye relief right. The illumination isn't that bright during the day just a dim red when on max(8) but should be fine as light fades. Don't really need it during the day anyway. Glass looks really good to me.

meopro 3.5-10x44 4C, DNZ low mounts

Choosing a new scope can be a bit addictive, I could always upgrade in 12 months or maybe buy another rifleBig Grin.

regards

oyster

That's a better thought one cannot have to many rifles!

He he he! You will find that once you break into the higher quality glass where you realize how much more you can see, it is highly addictive. You have a nice view from your place. Congratulations.

views are pretty good , ocean views out the front and these guys started turning up last year out the back. Hence the new rifle was required.

The scope is a long way back. Is this right? I turn it up to x10 and adjusted to get the perfect picture. I reshouldered the rifle few more times to make sure it was right.

Should be OK for upright shooting but you may want to remeasure for prone, It really depends on how it fits you.  Everyone is different.

I'd like to say "ditto" to that thanks.  I picked up a lot of great info here in narrowing down scope choices.  Koshkin and MeoptaSurujh especially went above and beyond the call of duty in answering specific questions that Customer Service reps from a couple different manufacturers were struggling to answer.  The collective knowledge and experience on this sight in regards to good glass is great!

3-tens ,

I played around with it a bit this arvo, your right standing was fine but other positions it could be forward a little, so I've moved it forward about a 1/4 inch.

Nice rifle, scope, and scenery, Oyster!

Am I correct in saying those are Sika deer?

Very nice playground you have around your house, sir!
