Congratulations, RC.  That is the only pistol that has really interested me in a while.

Does anyone have a Colt made around the same time?  It differs- markedly - from my other 1911s.

The good news is it has very, very little wear, almost no rounds down the tube, and is overall in good shape.

Does it have the collet bushing?

I have the pistol, still undecided about what to do with it: keep it original, shoot it, etc.

I like it, my first Colt.  The bore looks great the barrel hood has very little wear so the gun has not spent much time on the range.

Given the number of 1911s I have, this might be an heirloom gun rather than a range gun.

It looks just like my lightweight commander .38 Super.  Congrats.

I like it.  And now the world knows the serial number of one of my guns, which is awesome.
