Hi, I traded a scope for a 6 x 24 x 42 classic v - Weaver. I realized today the rectile says it is a 223 rectile. I am wondering if the scope is as strong as the other Weavers. or is it meant only for a 223 riffle? I am thinking of putting it on a 7 mm mag. I am wondering if it will hold up.
Thank you. |

It says 223 because it's a better match for a varmint/target round, but that doesn't mean you can't use it on a 7mm. Most deer hunters like myself rather have lower magnification without parallax adjustments. Weavers are rock solid IMO.
