Koshkin or anyone else............... What optics company in Japan makes the Vixen line of rifle scopes? I seem to hit a dead-end on every internet search I try.
Thanks, in advance, for any information you can provide. |

Not sure. I have not seen a Vixen rifle scope in a long time. Why do you care? ILya

There is one for sale for under $200. 4-16x44.
I care because I've read that "Made In Japan" doesn't necessarily equate to high quality. Since there are several Japanese providers I'm hoping that LOW is, or might be, the maker of the Vixen. |

Any and every OEM manufacturer makes products to a price point. Being made by LOW does not guarantee anything since they make a wide range of products. ILya

I seem to recall a couple of highly praised nearly indestructible scopes made in the Philippines. I believe these are still made on the island and are still in demand. |

Thanks, ILya. This scope business is something else. Think I will stay with the known brands.

Kind of like Toyota advertising that the Tundra is proudly made in America. I think the only part of the (Leupold) scope actually made in the USA is the scope tube. |
