I need some help understanding how scope spec.s for magnification and field of view relate to variation in apparent image sizes. How is it that you can have a 1.5x scope with a 60' FOV at 4" eye relief and also a 1.5x scope with a 38' FOV at 8" eye relief? With the objective being further from the eye and appearing to be smaller how is the target magnified the same? The 1.5x magnified target appears smaller in one than the other.

Sorry if this is worded poorly. I don't understand it well enough to explain well.
