Well I bought a new scope a few weeks ago, but its the first time i had a chance to go out and get it zeroed and put some rounds down range. For a pretty much factory 700 I've been very happy with it so far. It tends to shoot pretty consistently in the 3/4moa range. For the past year its been wearing a SWFA 10x classic, which was ok, but this new scope was wonderful upgrade. Right now I'm waiting on a can, but once it get here I plan on taking over to the big boy range see how it does at 600-1000 yard lines.
3 shot group @ 100, i don't think a 3 shot really shows what a gun does 5-10 shot groups tend to tell the truth of the gun/shooter, but they look pretty!!! 5 shots @100 5 shot groups @ 100 yards 5 shots @ 200 Remington 700P Timney 517 Razor II 3-18x50 mil mil Silencerco brake FGMM168 |

How do you like the Razor II 3-18x50?

Life's concerns should be about the 120lb pack your trying to get to the top of the mountain, and not the rock in your boot.

Nice! My wife doesn't understand how much I need one of those. I would probably go with the 4.5x27 though.

If it is tourist season, why can't we shoot them?

Glass is great, reticle is perfect. But gets really thin at 3x. Has a little tunneling between 3-4/4.5 then none. I am in love with the open center reticle. The controls and design are wonderfully thought out. It' heavy and beefy. Feels like you could club an elephant to death with it. Parallax is butter smooth. The elevation turret is kinda hard to raise, the windage has just the right amount of resistance. The turrets sound like a ratchet. The windage has louder clicks.the no click zeroing method is great since you can perfectly tune your zero. |

I do have a problem if anyone can help,
I've had this 700, for about a year. now still has the factory HS precision stock with internal magazine. The internal magazine is the biggest piece of junk ever. I have so much feeding problems out of it. I do plan on putting it in a chassis one day, but that could be another year or two. does anyone have this problem and a solution for it? It tends to double feed or and some times skip over the last round, if that round doesn't decide to cause a double feed. |

I had a guy mill out the inlet a bit, bought a Pacific Tool & Gauge detachable magazine housing and a Accuracy Int. magazine.
All told I guess it ran me about $200?? I don't recall exactly. This is a .223 Remington, which are notorious for having feeding issues. Runs perfect 100% of the time now.

That's egg-xactly the unit I'm going with on my beloved .308. I like the fact that it's a push button, AR type of mag release too. Esteemed member here, Super Tool runs one and really likes it and that's good enough for me. I always bed at least the recoil lug area on my HS stocks to take the slop out.

I was going to have the Remington Custom Shop replace the internal magazine on my ETRONX. They said "no" and "if you have it done, the warranty for any aspect of the rifle becomes NULL AND VOID." |
