My friend has a viper (non hd) 20-60x80 spotting scope. Very good condition. Hes wondering how much he could sell it for?

Determining the value of a used spotting scope over the internet is difficult. Pictures that are posted rarely have the detail to show its condition. You have to have it in your hands to look for scratches or to feel how smooth the controls operate. Condition is everything.
    As far as Amazon goes be sure you understand the fine print in the Amazon return policy. Restocking fee can be outrageous. The seller can apply the restocking fee even if they send you a lower grade item than ordered. It all depends on the ethics of the seller.
