I have decided to get a CZ 455 (Varmint Evolution) in the future. When I look at the Talley rings, rimfire, CZ they are all 1 inch.
Looking here http://swfa.com/CZ-C2269.aspx Why is this? Why not allow for a 30mm scope to be mounted also? Are all the other manufactured rings for the CZ 11mm dovetail also 1 inch? After a little more research, I do see there are some 11mm dovetail to picatinny conversion mounts. I also determined I need about .8 inches of height or so, because of the high bolt lift on the 455. Hmm, so the answer appears to be to get a rail, like the DIP one

How about these? I have a few sets of these and they work just fine on my CZs. I also have some CZ 30mm rings. But prefer the Warne over the CZs.

Yeah, between here and rimfirecentral, I am seeing lots of Warne recommendations...
And it looks like very few care for the CZ rings, given their price. Whicha Warnes are those? Mediums on a 30mm tube? Oh, and are those of you using rings on the built in dovetail happy with your eye relief? I was thinking of the DIP dovetail to get any scope a little bit further forward.... I have no issues with eye relief. And I did consider the DIP dovetail, but figured why spend the extra money when I didn't need to. Also on the Warne 721 rings they are convertible for both 3/8 and 11mm dovetails. There is a dimple on the removable part of the clamp. And when the dimple is up and left it is for 3/8 and down and right it is for 11mm dovetails. |
