Looking for a new scope to go on a 300 mag rifle. Used for deer hunting (100-300 yards) and (potentially) protection from bears in AK. Looking at two models Swarovski V6 2-12x50 Zeiss Victory HT 2.5-10x50 Both non illuminated The Swarovski has longer eye relief and lower low end power, both of which I see as advantages. I'll probably never use them at more than 6x, so upper end not an issue. I have looked through both scopes and they were excellent optically (in reasonable in store / daylight) but I have not compared them side by side, or in low light. Interested in opinions on the following issues (in order of priority): Ability to hold zero through rough handling Optical quality in low light US service in case of defect or damage Thanks |

I have the Swaro z6 2-12x50 and a Zeiss HT 1.5-6x42 (not the 2.5-10x50). Close call but I'd take the z6 if I had to choose.
