Yes, I've seen ads for it in catalogs, but haven't seen it in person. I believe it's called the Covert or something like that. You can download pics, change camera settings, erase the SD card, etc all wirelessly from your phone. Way cool! The more I think about it, that might actually tempt me to pay the asking price!

Given my limited experience of 1 unit, buttressed by other user reviews, I do believe that Reconyx trail cameras are the best in the business. It's the only brand I've seen with overwhelmingly good reviews.

I have had great luck with Bushnell Trophy Cams.

I have an old HD 8MP that is still going strong.

I recently got a 14MP Aggressor, and with one summer/fall of use, it is really really good.  I use them for security on some property (had two poaching incidents this year).  I will be ordering another Aggressor.

Thanks Guys!!!

keep the feedback coming!

I'm of the same mindset as Ted so far... most are crap and quality is all over the place for most brands...

Ric, thanks so much for the offer but I'd be afraid they would walk off...... Cencored

Update to statement above...
Just discovered this weekend that the Cabelas trail cam bit the dust sometime during the past week.

It was 2 years old and was not in continuous operation during that time -- only used 4 months during the past 2 seasons (8 months worth of operation). Now it's a paperweight.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your camera. May it rest in peace.  If you had invested all the money spent on the dead cameras, How many Reconyx would you have? I know you had that one prior to Killtacula 1.

Sage advice, Lile. Sage advice.

You're 100% correct, and good memory sir! I did indeed have that same Reconyx cam back then. I keep stubbornly thinking I'll find a sub $300 trail cam that will last, and I continue to be disappointed. Obviously this is a category of products where you do indeed get what you pay for. I'd been better off buying 3 or 4 Reconyx cams at the beginning, be done with it and would've come out ahead on $.
