I woudl pick the SS. The IOR has 1/4 moa adjustments and a mil based reticle. I love the MP8 reticle, probably my favorite I have used, but the mil quad is very good. But back to the adjustments. The SS has 1/10 mil and a mil based reticle, so they match. Which is huge in my book. Glass wise they will both be excellent, so no issues there. Mechanically all the IORs I have ever owned, (probably 8 or 10 of them) they have all tracked great (until they broke). I have owned probably a similar number of SS scopes included the 10x HD and they have all tracked excellent as well.
I had 4 or 5 different 3-18x model and had lots of issues with them. Customer service was good, but after a time I got sick of sending them back. Sold all my IORs except 1. Overall I think the SS scopes are a better bargain for what you get. IOR makes nice scopes, but they cost more money and you don't get any more scope. |

Lifetime warranty and excellent customer service don't mean a thing when your gun fails during a zombie attack.

I bought the SS10HD. Originally IOR was not big on customer service but has improved over the years. I liked the SS10HD a lot but upgraded to the 5 to 20. SS HD

SWFA SS. Just due to the fact I have a few of them and they hold up over time returning to Zero.
I have the regular 10XM vs the 10X. I ahve the 10x and it is fine but like the location of the 10XM. Also the MIL-Quad reticle makes more sense and has more capability. I have them from 22lr. to .338LM and they do the job well. |
