Anyone have any feedback with this newer model? Has my interest as a step up from a savage...around 2300 new. Love to hear any feedback or other options.

Just FYI...finally got a chance to shoot it today. Was a bit worried having never fired a 338 and it being a fairly light rifle. Shot and handled like a champ...no problems at all cycling or accuracy. Just did 10 rounds to break in but truly surprised how light the recoil was. I'd honestly say it was about the same as my savage 308...
Only problem I have is with the knurled tactical bolt knob. It sits so close to the trigger that it hits your trigger finger, especially if you use just your first pad to shoot. After the first round I had to clean some of my blood and skin out of the bolt handle off my trigger finger knuckle. If you wrap it all the way around the trigger it will clear... |

That bolt can soon lead to a very bad flinch!
Glad you enjoying it though.
