which spotting scope might have a nice clear optic for 300 to 500 yards.
The one I have is a nice scope and I can see 223 bullet holes on white paper at 300 yards but it is not as clear as I would like.Any ideas? |

I bought a Celestron C90 Spotting Scope and it comes with a 90mm (3.5") objective lens and it will do the job. You can buy eyepieces that will let you see the craters on Jupiter's moon so yeah I'm sure you can see bullet holes at 3-500yds. I can see just the bullseyes "X" on a 8" 100yd target. They run about 200$ thereabouts.
