Looking forward to an update.
Have an opportunity to pick up a demo TT 3-15X that is the 30mm tube model or a used Premier Heritage 3-15x. Latter is confirmed to be under warranty by Tangent Theta.

The answer, as usual, is "it depends." The TT at a good price is a no brainer, but it doesn't have lots of internal elevation if that is the need. The Premier Heritage was among my favorite scopes of all time, it did everything very well. If you consider the PH, I'd run the elevation turret and check the clicks. The original had very, very little spacing between clicks and you almost always overshoot (which isn't bad, and is actually how most people run their Leupolds - due to bounceback.) Premier did a fix, but everyone didn't do it. If you have a written document confirming TT will honor the PH warranty, that would be a very good choice, assuming both have the same reticle - or definitely pick the one with the Gen2 XR. How's that for helpful! I've used the Premier version of the 30mm and loved it, took it to Africa with great results. Both are awesome. As is the new TT 34mm 3-15.

Thanks RC for the quick reply. Internal elevation is a question. I'm thinking ahead for a 224 Valkyrie build next month.
Win win either way.

What is meant by "working adjustment"? The 30mm TT shows 18 mrad of adjustment and 12 mrad of working adjustment.
Assuming a 20 MOA rail, the 30mm TT 3-15x50 should be able to get out to 1000 yards with the 224 Valkyrie, which requires 9.9 mrad of elevation. This assumes a 100 yard zero. If my math is correct, I still should have some additional elevation adjustment. Am I missing something?

There is a total of 18 mrad available, but once you set your zero-stop, you have two turns, 6 mard each. In a 20 MOA mount, I usually get the full two turns, but it can depend on your rifle and how everything lines-up.
12 mrad with most calibers gets me about as far as I am willing to shoot.

Appreciate the clarification. Checked the ballistics tables on the 6.5G and 6.5CM and the TT will work for these calibers as well.

Had more time on the scope this weekend, really, really like it. The glass is great edge-to-edge, and the parallax seems very forgiving in real world conditions. Illumination works great, reticle is probably my favorite (Gen2 XR) and the damned thing ain't bad at all in low light. I will try to get a through-the scope pic (Koshin's favorite) with the white phos night vision clip-on. I wouldn't want to identify a target at 800 yards with it, but taking a shot on game inside 300 or so is no big deal.

One of the very under-rated features of this scope is how much depth of field it has. For general purpose use, you can virtually ignore the parallax knob and have reasonable focus across the board.
When you really want to go precise, you mess with the knob to dial out parallax. ILya

Having endlessly fiddled with parallax knobs, that is a huge advantage.

That was always one of the standout features of the Premier riflescopes and on higher end Leicas (one of the reasons I like them) and one of the reasons I finally sold my March 3-24x42 that I really liked otherwise. I just spent too much time messing with the side focus when I was using March.
