Subject scope just received a few minutes ago from SWFA.  Had time to unpack it, set diopter, look at some old long range visual targets…  INTERESTING reticle… comes with flipup lens covers and a power adjustment throw lever.  It is a BIG honkin' scope.  Thinking of resting it on my CZ700.  Possibly a good fit.

During my days off for the Holidays, I hope to get around to a good review of this scope, as well as the Ivey 50 mil adjustable scope mount with Hensoldt on my .338LM.

More to come..

I've boresighted, not zeroed.  Some initial impressions… just kitchen table stuff, out the back door…
I like the adjustment "feel and sound".  Low-light performance is not very good even at lower power (5x)… moderate to poor.  In full light, it is fine.  Magnification adjustment is "tight", so it is a good thing that it comes with a throw lever…seems like it has begun to loosen up some after about 150 rotations through the power range.  I have deer bedding near where my zero range has been, so I'm not going to zero here on my property.  I really need to get to where I can shoot with it.  Overall, so far, the pros are more than the cons.  Low-light perfomance is really disappointing (don't take this scope in the dark), but the illumination is excellent.

For the price vs features, I'm glad to have it… from the initial looks.  THe glass does not seem to be as "good" as that in the ART scopes… perhaps there are some design issues as well.

Quick and dirty impressions.

Interesting stock, that should take a lot of the recoil out of it.

There isn't any…

This is the limited edition CZ sniper rifle (stamped CZ 700 S, but does not have the integral suppressor)… It's what made me start liking .308 again.  I now have 4 rifles in .308.  Last one before these was in the Army…

zeroed today… 200 yard zero.  Ran a partial box pattern.  Click graduations are right on.  The CZ700 and the Phenom scope go well together.

I took it by a friend's place to let him look at it… he kept it… and asked for a box of ammo
